The next generation of freestyle skiing talent will take centre stage in China and Sweden next spring, with Arxan and Duved-Åre set to host the FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships 2027.
The championships will be split across two venues, with the world’s best young aerials athletes heading to Arxan (CHN) from 22-28 March, before the moguls competition takes over in Duved-Åre (SWE) from 7-14 April.
Arxan will host a packed week of aerials action, with two individual Aerials (AE) competitions and two Aerials Synchro (AES) events on the programme, alongside the Aerials Mixed Team (AET) competition. The 2027 championships will also mark the first time that Aerials Synchro is featured on the Junior World Championships programme, adding the exciting new format to the battle for junior world titles.
The focus will then shift to Sweden and Duved-Åre, which will host combined Junior World Championships for Moguls and Ski Cross. On the moguls side, the programme will feature two Moguls (MO) and two Dual Moguls (DM) competitions, as well as the Dual Moguls Mixed Team (DMT) event.
The 2027 Junior World Championships will once again provide an important stage for the rising stars of freestyle skiing, with Junior World Championship medals and titles up for grabs across the disciplines.
For many of the athletes, the competitions will also offer another opportunity to make their mark on the international stage as they continue their progression towards World Cup level.
